Sarah Coenen, Professional Counseling Associate

Sarah offers a collaborative approach to psychotherapy that draws from the understanding that the internal relationship between parts of the self has an impact on our external connections. She has enjoyed working with individuals, couples and families since 2017, getting curious about the beliefs we have developed around our painful experiences, and facilitating the process of allowing an inner wisdom to emerge that can provide the leadership and care that we often yearn for. This process builds resilience, acceptance, creativity and compassion both on an interpersonal level, and within the self.

In this work the therapeutic foundation serves as the platform from which clients gain insight and directrion to move forward in their life’s journey.
My goal is to approach therapy with compassion and creativity while encouraging clients to actively engage in their process. I utilize a variety of modalities including Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Attachment Based, and EMDR. I support older adolescent and adult clients with a range of issues and specialize treatment to individuals’ specific needs.”
